Jewish Life and Israel at Camp

At Camp Biluim, we pride ourselves on providing campers with the chance to discover their own Jewish identity and connection to Israel through an inclusive and pluralistic approach.  Through daily programming and special events, we take every opportunity to infuse our camp with a celebration of Jewish traditions and Israeli culture.

A CONNECTION TO ISRAEL

As graduates of the Canadian Young Judaea camping system, nearly all of our staff have been to Israel in some capacity. Our staff are passionate about Israel, and look forward to sharing their own Israel experiences with their campers. From planned programs to informal conversations, our staff help to educate campers on everything from Israel’s delicious food and popular music to the current political situation. As well, each year, we are proud to welcome one Israeli staff member (our shaliach) onto our staff team.

AWARD WINNING PROGRAMMING

At The Foundation for Jewish Camp’s Leaders Assembly 2018, in front of nearly 800 attendees, Camp Kinneret-Biluim was recognized with two awards. Our Associate Director, Shoshi Rothschild, received the Excellence in Jewish Education Award, and our camp received the Excellence in Israel Education award. We are so proud of the work that we do to further the Jewish and Israel education at our camp and are honoured to be recognized for our achievements
